The Course Dress Code


  • All recognised golfing headwear is accepted, peaked caps may not be worn back-to-front.

  • Shirts must have collars or be of turtle-neck type, designed specifically for golf.

  • Gentlemen's shirts must be tucked into trousers or shorts.

  • Rugby/football shirts or t-shirts are not allowed, nor are shirts carrying slogans or numbers.

  • Long trousers must be tailored and appropriate for golf. Blue denim jeans and all types of paramilitary or camouflage trousers, cut-offs and tracksuits are strictly prohibited.

  • Knee-length tailored Bermuda shorts of a single plain colour may be worn (these will typically have two side and up to two rear pockets). No other types of shorts are allowed.

  • Recognised golf shoes, designed for that purpose, must be worn.

  • Gentlemen must wear socks. If worn with shorts they must be either ankle-length or knee-length and of a predominantly single colour.

Clubhouse Dress Code

The dress code for the course will apply with the following exceptions:

• No headwear of any kind is to be worn in the clubhouse, except at the discretion of the committee.

• Gentlemen’s formal shirts may be worn outside trousers.

• Whilst jeans are allowed in the clubhouse they must be clean and smart. Ripped, dirty or bleached jeans are not allowed.

• Appropriate footwear must be worn in the clubhouse. No golf shoes, beachwear, muddy boots, etc.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones must not be used either in the clubhouse or on the course, except in emergencies.
